MRL-SPL 2016

We are the first participant in RoboCup Standard Platform League from Iran since 2009. Current video contains our highlights on previous years (specifically on 2014).

The RoboCup Standard Platform League is a RoboCup robot soccer league, in which all teams compete with identical robots. The robots operate fully autonomously, i.e. there is no external control, neither by humans nor by computers. The league is based on Aldebaran's Nao humanoids. Teams compete with their five 53cm height robots, which are able to communicate with each other by wireless network. Robots are able to use two cameras, placed on their face in order to recognize objects in the field. As there is no difference in robots hardware, the team with more optimized software and intelligence is the winner.

Mechatronics Research Laboratories (in short MRL) was established in 2003 as an independent research center under supervision of Qazvin Azad University. MRL's main activities are on robotic projects and participating in RoboCup competitions. Its main body of staff is formed by faculty members, students and professors of Qazvin Azad University.

MRL is one of Qazvin Azad University research centers that aims to fulfill training of experts for various industrial and business projects performed by knowledge base enterprises of the university.

We are a team of undergraduate and graduate students working on Nao within four main divisions of Vision, Modeling & Localizaton, Behavior Control and Locomation. We participate in RoboCup to put our teamwork in action.

we've reached the fifth place in Brazil 2014 competitions. We've also got the first place in Iran Open 2014 and third in German Open 2014.
